Not Bad at New Scotland

Review Date: February 5, 2025
Wing Night: $0.50/wing Wednesday

What I Liked

The price point! $0.50/wing is hard to find nowadays, and I believe New Scotland may hold the title for the cheapest Wing Night around.

The wings were on the smaller side, so free from any unwanted fatty type pieces, and definitely had a crispy exterior.

What Could Be Better

The wings weren’t bad, but nothing really jumped out to make them super good either. All in all, I’d say they would be a standard/middle of the road type of wings.

Would I Order These Again?

Exterior: 3/5

Crispy?  Yes.

A bit on the overcooked side of the scale?  Also a yes.

Overall Quality: 3/5

A bit on the dry side but the chicken didn’t have a bad taste to it.

Overall Rating: 3/5

Other Mentions:

I’ve been to New Scotland a few times and always had a great time.  While the wings aren’t a 5/5, they were still decent, and that’s more than I can say for some other places that I’ve been too and paid much more.

Also, they did have a hot honey option which was great to see, I love that stuff, but you’ll be sticking to everything once the wings are gone if you’re not careful.

And one more note – if you’re still hungry after the wings have disappeared, I’d highly recommend the nachos with fried chicken, those are fantastic!  Wonder if they have a nacho night …
