It took a road trip to Fall River to break us out of our wing rut, and The Turtleback made a strong case for being worth the trip. Here’s how it went.

Exterior
Some of the best wings I’ve had in a while.
Crispy, unbreaded, and seasoned with a simple salt and pepper dry rub. The honey garlic stayed on the side where it belongs, and the celery and carrots sat there looking healthy.

Overall Quality
Plenty of places get the crispy skin right and let the meat inside fall short. Not here. The meat was tender, and cooked just right.

Final Verdict
Easy 5/5. The Turtleback delivered great wings and excellent service, and I’d happily make the trip again.
Other Mentions:
My one wish is more sauce options. These wings are good enough to carry more flavors, and a green jalapeño or green chile “Shell Shocker” house sauce would be a perfect fit for a place called The Turtleback. That said, even as is, anyone living nearby is lucky to have a wing spot this good in their backyard.
