Outlandish at Orso

Wing Night: $9.75/8 wings Thursday

What I Liked

Well, the wings looked good at first glance, but that’s about as far as that went.

What Could Be Better

Quite a bit actually – I found the breading very britle, the main flavour of these wings was grease, and the drums were quite fatty.

Other Mentions:

Things got off on the wrong wing right from the get go here.  Their IG post stated “Tossed, dry rub, or sauce on the side”, options are great and I love to see a dry rub option.

We asked about the dry rub and they said they don’t do that.  Not that they ran out or anything (which would be understanable, but that they just don’t offer it). We were also advised we weren’t allowed to get the wings tossed in sauce either, as that uses too much sauce.

I mentioned what their post said and was pretty much just brushed off.  Felt like they are aware they post that to get people in  maybe, but they are also aware they don’t offer what they stated.

Overall this was a very odd expereince and I definitely won’t be making a return visit here.

Would I Go Back For More?

Exterior: 2/5

Crispy and britle ‘flour dusted’ wings.  They look okish initially, but I wasn’t a fan of these at all.

Overall Quality: 2/5

A promintent flavour of grease, dark meat in the flats and fatty chunks in the drums.

Overall Rating: 2/5
