I’ve been to Jacob’s a few times over the years, from Wing Nights to live music downstairs to pick up pizza orders, this place always exceeds my expectations.
As it’s been a bit since my last visit, it was due time for some wings, and this was the best decision I have made in a while.
Thankfully they are still doing a Wing Night deal during all this, and that is $0.70/wing on Thursdays. If you are unfamiliar with the wings at Jacob’s, now is the time to change that.
This picture speaks for itself, just look at these wings!
They still managed to have a good crisp to them even after being safely stowed in a take-out box for a bit.
I don’t believe the dry rub is an automatic thing here, but there is no extra charge for it, so make sure to include this in your order!
Overall Quality: 5/5
No complaints in this department. These wings are amazing! They were cooked perfectly, had a great taste to them, the texture of the meat was excellent, no fatty pieces in the drums and feather free!
Meaty flats and drums, but not the largest wings I’ve seen. That’s why this category has a lower weight to it.
This is an case of why I changed the rating scale to add weight for each category and have a low weight for size – Wing Review Rating Scale! – Halifax Wingman. Even though these aren’t the largest wings I’ve had, they are definitely some of my favourite!
Overall Rating: 4.9/5
There is a mention of ‘legendary’ next to the wings when looking at the menu, and I wholeheartedly agree with that! I will be back for many more Wing Nights at Jacob’s.
Here is what you’re looking at for sauce options:
There is one dry rub option, but in my opinion the dry rub should be an automatic thing for these wings.
