Like-N Little Caesars

I occasionally make visits to Little Caesars for their “Hot-N-Ready” pizzas and I’ve never been disappointed, how can you be with a 12” pepperoni pizza for $5.55?  I noticed all the recent advertising for their “Hot-N-Ready” wings, and of course I had to try them.  Eight wings will run you six bucks.

When they say ready, they mean ready.  The little bucket of wings was waiting patiently in some sort of heating cabinet a short distance away.  He just had to reach in and place them on the counter, that’s fast.  The sauce took longer to get ready than it did to get the actual wings.  It kind of made me wonder how long they’ve been sitting there waiting for someone to come in and purchase them, but it was nice to see some steam coming out of the bucket once I got home and ripped the top off.
That's a fairly flashy little sign.  How could you forget?
Breading: n/a – The wings were not breaded, so this category will go unrated.

Overall quality: 4/5 – As you can tell by the pic the wings were a tad on the slimy side and fairly slippery.  If you weren’t holding the wing in a proper form as you went to take a bite, there was a slight chance the wing could slip right out of your fingers.
Slipperier than they may appear in this pic.
There was some sort of flavoring on the outside of the wing, pepper and something else I believe, whatever it was had a pretty good taste to it.  I didn’t have high hopes for the actual chicken based on the initial sliminess on the outside, but I was pleasantly surprised.  It was cooked well, had a nice taste to it and didn’t contain a single dark tinge.
Sauce selection: 3/5 – You have seven sauces to choose from – honey garlic, teriyaki, mild, medium, hot, garlic parmesan and bacon honey mustard.  Yes, you read that correctly, bacon honey mustard!  I’m a huge fan of bacon and I do enjoy honey mustard quite a bit, how could I go wrong?  Needless to say I went with the bacon honey mustard on the side and it was delicious.  I don’t recall seeing this sauce as an option any time I’ve placed an order of wings anywhere else, I think this sauce should be adopted to be a regular at any wing establishment.
That's a nice looking sauce list.
Service: n/a – Generally speaking this category is only rated in an establishment where you sit down place an order and the food is brought over (and hopefully a drink refill offered during the visit at some point).  I do agree that service is still important and could be rated, but just not on the same type of experience as the other type of places I mentioned.  So needless to say, the service category goes unrated for this place.

Size:  2/5 – The wings were fairly puny, especially the flatties. It would have been nice to see a bit more meat on these wings.
Not a lot of chicken there.
Overall rating: 3/5

I have to say that I do enjoy Little Caesars and I will be back.  I may not walk out with wings to accompany my pizza during each visit, but I do know I will end up devouring them again at some point, but maybe that’s just the bacon honey mustard sauce talking.
