Wing Night: Tue and Thu - $0.69/wing - Grafton St. and Sackville (need to confirm the Tuesday special at the Sackville location ...)
Regular Price: $11.99/pound
Review Date: February 2nd, 2012
Rating: 4/5

I was lucky enough to see a tweet at the right time from Freeman’s – “2 more free orders of wings to give away @freemanspizza... Tweet me to win!”.  My reply may have been the most important tweet of my life thus far, and the timing was perfect, I won!  So off to Freeman’s I went.

It has been many years since I have visited Freeman’s, and back then there was just the one location.  I decided to switch it up this time and ended up at the location in Fairview.

Wing nights are on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s - $3.90 for ten regular wings or $6.90 for ten jumbo wings.  Regular price is $9.99 for ten jumbo wings.  They also offer breaded and non-breaded wings.

Breading: 5/5 – I was impressed as soon as the wings arrived and noticed the beautiful thick golden breading, not overcooked or too crispy, just right.
Overall quality: 5/5 – The chicken had a great fresh taste and was very juicy.  No dark or pink spots, cooked perfectly throughout.

Sauce selection: 2/5 – Sauce selection includes mild, medium, hot, honey garlic, bleu cheese and sweet chili.  I went with the hot on the side.

Service: 3/5 – There was only one waitress to help out the customer’s and she was pretty busy, which is too bad, I never did end up getting my milkshake but that’s not a huge deal.  Wings and a milkshake would have been an odd combination anyway, but I had to stay away from the beer and margaritas tonight due to my vehicle being parked across the street.

Size: 5/5 – The wings were a great size and even the flatties contained a lot of chicken to them.
Overall rating: 4/5

I'm looking forward to going back to Freeman's to have more wings in the very near future.  Maybe I'll get the milkshake next time.

  1. Went to Freemans on Dutch Village Tuesday April 9 2013. They no longer serve unbreaded small wings, they are now just breading them and selling them as jumbo wings. Very disappointing. Looks mlike Pogue Fado is the best deal with the best wings after all.
