Pretty Damn Good at Pizzatown

“I’d like to place an order for delivery”.  “Is there any way you could come and pick it up?”  That was the beginning of the conversation for my first wing delivery review and also the first time a delivery place ever asked me that.  Not a huge deal at all, but it was kind of funny for sure.  Probably just short on delivery drivers, but I wasn’t in a rush and proceeded with the order.

There are two types of wings to choose from, oven baked or dusted fryer, I went with a dozen dusted fryer wings which ran me $12.  Other prices are 6 wings for $6.99, 24 wings for $21.99 or 48 wings for $39.99.

The order arrived exactly when he said it would, 50 minutes later.  I was impressed the wings were still nice and hot and quickly realized they were worth the wait.

Breading: 5/5 – I was extremely surprised when I opened the wing box and was greeted by wings with a perfect healthy amount of crisp golden breading with a great flavour, there must be a few secret spices mixed in.  Not at all what I expected from delivery.
They look awesome already.
Overall quality: 5/5 - The wings were fresh and didn’t contain a lot of grease accumulation in the bottom of the box.  The chicken was very moist and was free from any dark tinges.
Delicious!
Sauce selection: 3/5 - Sauces include Mild, Medium, Hot, Diana’s BBQ, Thai Sweet & Spicy, Honey Garlic, Sweet & Sour, Ranch.  I went with hot on the side, and it was pretty hot.

Service: n/a - The overall service experience was pretty good however I’m not going to rate the service category for delivery wings, it’s not the same as going out somewhere.  The person who ended up delivering the wings was really friendly which is always nice to see.

Size: 5/5 – This order of wings contained the biggest flattie I have ever seen.  Since I was at home I decided to take an accurate measurement of this one, instead of the usual fork comparison.  All the other wings were also a really good size.
That's a huge flattie!
Overall rating: 4.5/5

I really couldn’t believe these were delivery wings, they were better than a lot of non-delivery places.  I’m off to a pretty good start for this category and I hope my next wing delivery experience will be just as pleasant.  I’m always interested in trying new wings so if you have a favorite wing delivery establishment please let me know, I’d love to hear about it.
