I'll be back when you have a wing night Brewdebaker's

I unexpectedly ended up at Brewdebaker's in Clayton Park (where the old Lone Star used to be)  with a few people for supper.  I recently ate at their Burnside location and was impressed with my meal so I was curious to see if the wings would be as good.

The place was larger then expected and would easily fit a large group of people comfortably. The only problem is the prices, and there is no designated wing night - 8 wings for $9.99 and 16 for $18.99.

Breading: 4/5 – Advertised as "flour dusted" but I was impressed when they arrived, nicely coated with an overall bright golden color.  Much better then I expected since most times "flour dusted" means "barely anything".

Overall quality: 4/5 – The majority of the wings were fairly moist and flavorful.  The chicken was also free from any dark contamination or strange markings.  All wings indeed resembled wings and no mutations.
Carrots and celery always throw me off.

Sauce selection: 1/5 – The lack of sauce selection was the main problem with theses wings.  The options are gold fever, honey garlic or apple butter bbq.  I went with the gold fever on the side which was delicious, it had a nice sweet flavor and also packed some heat.  I’ve never heard of the apple butter bbq before, let me know if you’ve ever tried it.

Service: 3/5 – The meals took a bit to arrive but our waitress was friendly and drink refills were offered.

Size: 3/5 – A pretty average size when it comes to wings.  Not jumbo but not small, they were meaty and that's all that matters.
Overall rating: 3/5

This is the type of place you would want to go to with a group of people for wings but I won't be making a trip back until they have a designated wing night.  The wings were good but not so good that I would want to pay over a dollar a wing again.
