Bang on at Boston Pizza

I’ve been wanting to return to Boston Pizza since they went on the big advertising kick about their wings, but just like last time I visited, the only thing I wish was different was the price.  They’re $8.95 for a single order or $15.95 for a double order (my single order had eight wings).

Breading: 5/5 – The breading fully covered the wing, had the perfect crispiness factor with flavor, the breading on these wings was incredible.

Overall quality: 5/5 – Cooked to perfection, fresh tasting moist chicken, no dark spots and nice plump wings, these were fantastic.
Picture perfect, and I like the little sign sticking out too, it's a great idea.

Sauce selection: 5/5 – A great selection of sauces - Mild, Medium, Hot, Teriyaki, Honey Garlic, Thai Chili, Sesame Ginger, Pineapple Mango, Asian 5 Spice, Caribbean Jerk, Chipotle BBQ, Salt & Pepper and BBQ.  I went with the Asian 5 Spice and the Salt and Pepper.

Service: 3/5 - It took a bit for the wings to arrive and I could have used a beverage refill as we waited.  I'd also like to mention that during the preparation for the wings to arrive we were presented with a bowl of warm lemon water which I eventually determined was to cleanse our fingers with.  This was a different concept to me but it served it's purpose well, and we still got the fancy wet naps too.

Size: 4/5 – They don’t look that big but these were well rounded out wings with a lot of meat on them, even the "flatties".
A lot of meat for a "flattie"
Total rating: 4.4/5

I have to say that Boston Pizza knows what they are doing when it comes to wings, I just wish they would adopt a wing night, even if it was once a month, because I really hate paying about a dollar a wing, even when they are that good.

  1. I completely disagree with this review. Last week I went to Boston pizza which I am already not a big fan of after contracting food poisoning from their establishment in Bayers Lake. The only reason I went back is because its the only place my girlfriends like to eat. I ordered a pound of breaded wings with extra sauce on the side. The mild sauce was disgusting and after asking for sauce on the side the waitress neglected to tell me they don't do that until after she brought me my wings. The wings themselves were overcooked and burnt with no breading on them. Overall I think Boston Pizza is overrated and overpriced. I will not be going back there and I would not recommend going there if you are in search of good wings.

    1. Wow, that's the first time I've heard anything bad about their wings, I've had them a few times and I've always enjoyed them. Perhaps they've changed since the last time I've been there. I'll give them another shot and I'll be sure to post about it when I do.
