I enjoy the finer things in life, such as chicken wings and beer. I’ve created this blog to share my experiences with fellow wing lovers. My goal is to try as many different wing establishments as possible while rating each one. Feel free to leave any comments/suggestions. Enjoy!
It has been a few years since I’ve been to Gatsby’s, and now I know why. This place isn’t a wing destination by any means, hence the full price and horribly small wings.
I believe “gourmet” pizza is their selling point from what I could tell, but even that wasn’t really good.I honestly think they shouldn’t even have wings as an option on the menu, they were pretty disappointing, especially for $9.00 a pound.
Breading: n/a - I was told before I ordered they were not breaded but I wanted to try them anyway.Breading wouldn’t have made any difference with these wings.
Overall Quality: 1/5 – Kind of slimeyish, no flavor and really, really small.
Looks like they try to hide the wings in a mess of lettuce, celery and carrot
Sauce selection: 3/5 – Sauces include mild, medium, hot, honey garlic, sweet chili, blue cheese and ranch.
Service: 2/5 – It wasn’t very busy but the best part about the service was a drink refill. He didn’t ask how our food was (I find most places will usually pop by at least once just to see how you are enjoying things)after clearly seeing I only ate two wings and pushed the rest of them aside by the time the pizza arrived.
Size: 1/5 – I couldn’t believe the size of a few of these wings!A couple of people on Twitter had some pretty accurate descriptions of this pic:
That's not a giant fork
@guslab98 – “OMG. Somewhere there's a hummingbird with one wing.”
