Parkside Perils

We ended up at Parkside Pub in Dartmouth for what is to be the last wing night of 2010, I'm sure this could have ended on a better note.

They advertise "jumbo" wings for $0.50/wing (pretty expensive still for a wing night).  The wings were a pretty good size, but that was about all that was good with them.
That's a pretty good size wing

There are a few different sauces to choose from, I ended up going with 15 wings, dry Cajun on and wet Cajun on the side (dry Cajun on was an extra $1.25, and they weren't too generous with it either).
Not a bad sauce selection.  I'd never pay full price for these wings
The wings were kind of dry and had a strange taste to them, almost like a freezer burn taste, I'm not sure, but they really did not taste good at all.  I'm going to rate this place a 2.5 out of 5.  Even though the wings are a pretty good size, they are not worth $0.50/wing.
Looks better than they tasted
Hopefully we'll start off stronger in the new year, next wing night will be January 6.

  2. Try them again. They have revamped their menu and their wings are much better than they used to be.

    Thursdays are wing night.

  3. I've had feathers on my wings from Parkside a couple of times. I do enjoy them though, when they are served featherless.

    1. Yeah, it's not the same when you have to rip the feathers out yourself.

  5. I've been hearing that from a few people recently and noticed the sign on the side of the road mentioning they have a new BBQ type menu addition. I went to their site (www.parksidepubandsmokehouse.com) and couldn't believe it! The menu looks awesome and the wings are smoked now, I can't wait to go back.

  6. I went to Parkside tonight but they were out of the smoked wings, and my second choice - brisket. I'll be back again to try them sometime.
