Frozen Wings

We usually go out for wings at least a couple times a month, however, there are also times I'll buy them frozen and make em right at home.  So I figured I might as well rate those too.

M&M Meat Shops had a two pound box of jumbo crispy frozen wings on sale for $8.99, so about $0.50/wing, that's not so bad when it comes to frozen.  I don't have a deep fryer, but luckily, I do have an oven, and that's where they were cooked.

There were a couple of pieces in there that could have been debated if they were a wing or not, but they still contained chicken.  I followed the directions but I believe I overcooked them a bit, I'm sure a deep fryer would be a better tool to use for something like this.

Either way, they were a bit too crispy and I didn't use any type of dry spice or sauce, the box claims they were seasoned but I dunno.  Besides the extra crispyness which was my own fault anyway, the meat in them was pretty good, but nothing compared to wings at a good pub, I'd have to give these a 3 out of 5.

Let me know if you've had some good wings you've made from frozen at home (in the oven or deep fried?), and if so, what kind and where did you get them?  I know I'll be buying more frozen wings eventually.
